Julie Schultz
President / Executive Director / Member since March 2016
Julie, the visionary leader behind Main Street Family Services. She wears multiple hats, serving as the founder, Executive Director, and President of our dedicated Board of Directors. In November 2015, Julie was asked to start a company to provide supervised visitation and parent education services to Sherburne County. She had been doing these services alone for the previous five years.

Julie took on the challenge and contacted former board members of the unused Main Street Family Services 501c3 and asked if they could help her with this new challenge. They happily endorsed this new opportunity to use the 501c3 that had sat dormant for the previous 8 years. With Julie as the executive director, Main Street Family Services began serving families on March 1, 2016.
The Main Street Family Services’ legacy of serving individuals, children, and families has deep roots, a loving history, and a commitment to serving the most hurt and vulnerable. Julie is proud to be the instrument used to bring the mission and vision of Main Street Family Services to the individuals, children, and families in our community.
Jason Albert
Chairman of the Board / Member since March 2025
Jason has been with Stafford Home Service for the past 18 years, currently serving as the Operations Manager. He brings over 25 years of experience in residential remodeling and construction, with a specialization in electrical and HVAC systems.

A lifelong resident of the community for the past 45 years, Jason is deeply committed to serving and supporting local families. He is passionate about the mission of Main Street Family Service and wholeheartedly supports its dedication to the well-being of the community he proudly calls home.
Gary Morrison
Vice Chair of the Board/Member since February 2021
Gary is a zoning administrator for the City of St. Louis Park. As the zoning administrator, he describes his responsibilities as working with residents and businesses to assist them in meeting their needs and requests and navigating city, county, and state rules. Gary is also the co-owner of a small local business.

Gary is the parent of three children adopted from Russia. One of whom was adopted by another family that terminated their rights to him at the age of five because of his disabilities. Since then, Gary and his wife have been advocating for their son through the school, county, state, and federal systems to get him the best care available.
Lynn Barney
Treasurer / Member since June 2024
Lynn Hedrick joined the MSFS Board of Directors in June 2024. She recently retired from a long career in investment management and financial planning, most recently as Vice President – Investments with BMO Investment Services. Lynn has been active in the community in a variety of ways including Community Hope Fest, ThumbsUp 5K, and Great River Faith In Action.

She has served in short term missions in the U.S. through Reach Global Crisis Response and Cameroon, West Africa through Wycliffe Associates. Currently, Lynn is the Director of Local and Regional Missions at River of Life Church in Elk River where she has been attending for the past 13 years.

Jodi Heurung-Dick
Secretary / Member since April 2026
Jodi brings more than 15 years of experience in county Health & Human Services, serving in roles across Child & Family Services, Adult Services, and community planning. Her career includes direct social work practice, supervision of child protection and family support programs, and ultimately serving as Sherburne County’s first manager overseeing both Adult and Child & Family Services. Most recently, she has worked as a Health & Human Services Planner, leading community assessments and helping establish Sherburne County’s first Family Resource Centers, where she continues to provide technical assistance.

Jodi has served on numerous community committees and collaboratives, including the Sherburne County Safe Child Council, SERVE Big, Becker Families in Need, Tri‑Cap Transportation Advisory Council and Board, BRIDGES Children’s Mental Health Collaborative, the Main Street Family Resource Center Steering Committee, and the Rum River Housing Coalition.
Her work on these numerous community committees and collaboratives reflects her commitment to strengthening families and building responsive, community‑driven systems of support. Inspired by Main Street Family Services’ growth and the impact of its programs, she is honored to serve on the board and contribute her experience, systems knowledge, and passion for family‑centered work.
Sue Black
Member at Large / Member since May 2025
Sue has extensive experience in leadership and management, with a master’s degree in ministry and leadership from Northwestern University, St. Paul, MN. She has served the community through music ministries, women’s ministries, church leadership, community banking and leadership/management training. She served on the Minnesota Bankers Association Board and the Graduate School of Banking Advisory Board (Madison WI) as vice-chair. Her passion is to help individuals and organizations grow and reach their fullest potential through strategic initiatives and specific goal setting. She is equipped to coach and mentor individuals, small teams, and organizations.

Her hobbies and interests include family, music, studying, writing, entertaining, and interior design. She also loves to travel with her beloved husband, Bob.
